| | I've never been happier - I just got the Mini from the Apple Service Centre. WOOOHOOOOOOO. It feels so good using the desktop again - I never really fancied the laptop. The screen's so much bigger and everything looks more familiar. Yay. Apparently, the guy said that my hard drive crashed, heh, so they had to replace it. The damage? RM790. Goddamn. He said it was due to excessive heat, so, um, I guess it was my fault.. Eheh. No more leaving the computer on overnight, I guess. :) But, I now have DASHBOARD! Yippee! :D:D .. And something called Autonomator (sp?) but whatever. Other than the fact that internet connection is really pundek, everything's fine. My MUSIC and PHOTOS (priority numero uno) were successfully backed up so yippidee. I didn't have any other important documents, so.. I even took the liberty of cleaning out my iTunes and from 1300+ songs, I now have 1201.
All I have to do now is wait for the people to repair the cables affected by the Taiwan Quake and I'll be able to download iTunes 7, MSN Windows Live, and new songs (!!!!). Happy happy joy joy.
And no this isn't the best part, oh nooo. Last year, a few weeks before I went to Italy, my iPod suddenly went whacked and I couldn’t update songs from my iTunes, so I haven’t used my iPod the whole year. But ever since my hard drive was replaced, it re-installed everything so now I CANNNNNN! :D The only thing is the backlight in my iPod is out, so. Yeah. -_-
I sent my Mini to the Service Centre in BSC, so I went to Times for a looksie before my sister came to pick me up.
One of my guilty pleasures are, and get ready for it..
Stationery shopping.
Seriously.
It's like I get a rush from browsing through pens, highlighters, pencils, erasers, notebooks, folders, crayons, post-its, staplers and papers of all sorts. Leave me in a bookshop all alone with a lot of time and I'll be just fine. I'm like a little kid with candy whenever I get the chance to buy stationery. Which is why I love going to Popular at the end of the year, to restock my pencil box with all sorts of goodies. I know this sounds really lame, but when I'm faced with so many decisions, I suddenly start considering every option and I won't leave the shop until someone makes the choice for me. For example, I spent fifteen minutes buying a roller Q-tip in Popular yesterday. I took the diameter of the roller into consideration, the discounts, the free refills, the price, and yes, I can go on.
Tom Hanks said to Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail, "I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address." |
