I've already set up a new page and everything. It's still naked tho cos I can't be bothered to edit all the HTML and put in this and that and my links and a header, and bla bla bla. But it's up.

Xanga was just getting old.

It was originally http://ohlookitsmirah.blogspot.com/ but then I thought I'd go with something, much, much simpler, so it became http://amynixx.blogspot.com/.

Yea. So unpredictable. But it makes life so much easier y'know. I mean, it's the same on Livejournal, Photobucket, Multiply, etc. ... Any suggestions?

The move isn't finalized yet cos I'm still contemplating.. so in the mean time, I'm still here. But I think I'll be making the decision by New Year's Day.

In the mean time, I just saw our timetable for next year on Amielia's Xanga, and everything's all haywire. :(

I have P.E. on TUESDAYS. Which means, I have P.E. on ASSEMBLY DAY. Which means, I don't wear my baju kurung on TUESDAYS. Which means, I'll be experiencing a discomfort when I change into my clothes AFTER P.E. And did I mention that P.E. is after break? God damn it's gonna be so HOT. :(

AND WE HAVE ALL THREE SCIENCE SUBJECTS ON TUESDAYS. What? Did they want us to die of mental and physical exhaustion on the second day of the week? Ok fine so P.E. is barely physically challenging, but remember - we SWIM fortnightly. :(

I'm going to hate Tuesdays.

Whoever organized this timetable didn't think of us. If only this was like KTJ where our timetables were changed every semester..

I'm sorry I'm such a drama queen.

Call me anal, but I like to be organized in everything I do. Or at least, I try to be. It gives me this sense of control, and I know this sounds really stupid, but I feel more.. lega you know, with a system? I'm sort-of like an objective person. So I had everything planned out, you know. And when I mean everything.. I mean everything. I've even got my uniform and shoes planned out.

You heard me.

I was planning on wearing baju kurungs on alternate days. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Agama classes fit in nicely cos their on Mondays and Wednesdays. And I was hoping PE would fall on one of these days, but it didn't.. :( Cos I hate changing in and out of the prefect uniform. And I was planning on wearing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, cos assembly is on Tuesdays and I look like a peach when I wear my blazer over my baju kurung.

And don't even get me started on SHOES. I'm buying two black shoes for school, see. One pair is the leathery slip-ons, and another is the laced up PVC(?) ones for sports. This is cause I was intending on wearing the latter days only once a week - on P.E. days - cos I can't run in the slip-ons, and I'm not gonna bother bringing sport shoes to school.

See? I've got everything planned out. Seriously. And don't look at me like that. :)

Did I tell you my schoolbag for 2007 was bought from Roxy? Cringe. It's not that I don't like the brand, don't get me wrong, it's just it's so.. common. Bleh. The only reason I bought it was cos my mum pushed me into it. And why? Cos if I buy it, she'll get a 20% discount on Maria's schoolbag. But it's nice la I guess. So I suppose I'm happy. :P It's black, and shiny. And square. Haha.

My tuition is all set for the big 07 too. SPM and everything, gahh. It seems like everyday is full. :( Cos I might be taking Kumon again. I know I knowwww. I haven't gone for a year, but lately I've been thinking about it.. Form 1, 2, and 3 mathematics was such a breeze for me because of Kumon, I kid you not. It really did help me, and if I hadn't succumbed to laziness, I could probably be doing level K by now. I'd probably catch up on Add Math a lot faster this year too.. But if I join in January, I'll start with level I and I hate that level. :(

But if I don't take up Kumon, I'll only have Accounts on Tuesdays, BM on Wednesdays, piano on Fridays, and Physics on Saturdays.

I decided not to have Add Math tuition on a regular basis, but rather during holidays if I need it. Crap man, I'm gonna be a SENIOR next year.

Okay that's it, no more school tuition talk!

--------------------

I baked today! Or rather. I was forced into baking. Elena's having a party tonight so she made me help her bake or else she'd never drive me anywhere else. So really, I had no choice. :) We were baking Gooey Chocolate Stack taken from Nigella Lawson's cookbook. Everything looked so yummmyyy.. We had some .. difficulties, though. Haha. :P We had to call my mum at least 10 times to ask her what was "baking sheet" and "Gas Mark 1" and golden caster sugar" hahahaha so funny. She was so annoyed I think she hung up on us at one point. It didn't look exactly like the one in the book but it was alright for our first attempt. :)

I know how to make meringue now! :D

Mummy says we'll be doing Molten Chocolate Babycakes soon, and Creme Brulee once she buys the blowtorch. Mmmmm I can't wait. :D

Friday, December 29, 2006

I've never been happier - I just got the Mini from the Apple Service Centre. WOOOHOOOOOOO. It feels so good using the desktop again - I never really fancied the laptop. The screen's so much bigger and everything looks more familiar. Yay. Apparently, the guy said that my hard drive crashed, heh, so they had to replace it. The damage? RM790. Goddamn. He said it was due to excessive heat, so, um, I guess it was my fault.. Eheh. No more leaving the computer on overnight, I guess. :) But, I now have DASHBOARD! Yippee! :D:D .. And something called Autonomator (sp?) but whatever. Other than the fact that internet connection is really pundek, everything's fine. My MUSIC and PHOTOS (priority numero uno) were successfully backed up so yippidee. I didn't have any other important documents, so.. I even took the liberty of cleaning out my iTunes and from 1300+ songs, I now have 1201.

All I have to do now is wait for the people to repair the cables affected by the Taiwan Quake and I'll be able to download iTunes 7, MSN Windows Live, and new songs (!!!!). Happy happy joy joy.

And no this isn't the best part, oh nooo. Last year, a few weeks before I went to Italy, my iPod suddenly went whacked and I couldn’t update songs from my iTunes, so I haven’t used my iPod the whole year. But ever since my hard drive was replaced, it re-installed everything so now I CANNNNNN! :D The only thing is the backlight in my iPod is out, so. Yeah. -_-

I sent my Mini to the Service Centre in BSC, so I went to Times for a looksie before my sister came to pick me up.

One of my guilty pleasures are, and get ready for it..

Stationery shopping.

Seriously.

It's like I get a rush from browsing through pens, highlighters, pencils, erasers, notebooks, folders, crayons, post-its, staplers and papers of all sorts. Leave me in a bookshop all alone with a lot of time and I'll be just fine. I'm like a little kid with candy whenever I get the chance to buy stationery. Which is why I love going to Popular at the end of the year, to restock my pencil box with all sorts of goodies. I know this sounds really lame, but when I'm faced with so many decisions, I suddenly start considering every option and I won't leave the shop until someone makes the choice for me. For example, I spent fifteen minutes buying a roller Q-tip in Popular yesterday. I took the diameter of the roller into consideration, the discounts, the free refills, the price, and yes, I can go on.

Tom Hanks said to Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail, "I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address."

The yearbook is OUT

I should have informed this earlier, but..

<large>SRIKDU'S YEARBOOK 2006 IS NOW AVAILABLE IN STORES NEAR YOU!</large>

Nawh, just our Administration actually. So go get your copy guys.

It's pretty cool how everything came through. Props to our team! :D I personally like the cover, too, and it's a shame a few articles weren't published. I thought it was good, save for a few of the printed pages which were not what you would call good quality but oh well nothing's perfect.. Good luck Editorial Board 2007!:D

----------------

Ten more days till the start of a new year. Shit. Everything's happening too fast.. Maria's even gonna be in the secondary block! She's in freaking 1 Jenner. Hahahaha. No offense, to 1J of 2006, k, I'm just poking fun at the name. :P I'm gonna be in FORM FIVE OMG. But we're not exactly the seniors cos we have IB kids. :p Geez. Hahahha. Did you know Paramount Championship is gonna be spread out during the first term next year?

Whoa.

I watched Godfather today while eating kacang Cap Tangan. Geez all the gore and blood.

"Leave the gun, take the cannolis." <- My favourite line.

I had a hard time understanding the movie at first tho cos we were watching it on laser-freaking-disc and there were no subtitles, and we ALL know how Marlon Brando mumbles. Lol. :p

Anyway, what are your plans for New Year?

Thursday, December 14, 2006

Well, I'm glad we've cleared that up. It's okay SummerMarissa! I understand annoying younger siblings. Hehehe. :)

----------------------------

So anyway, I just finished Add Math with Cheryl and she covered the subtopics in Chapter 9 which Chewie left out.. and call me a geek but I actually enjoyed myself. She gave me a sample of Paper 2 as homework and I was all gungho about completing it the night itself until I went to Question 2 of Section A and just went "Roiiiiight.." and closed the book.

Tomorrow's a new day!

(Did I mention I have physics homework as well? And a MINDMAP to construct? I don't believe in colours and mindmaps in "enhancing memory skills" cos I've always been a by-the-book person, but if Zoran says it works..)

I finally finished my CPE exam today. Writing was BALLS! It was as if my mind shutdown temporarily (like you know those lockdowns in Prison Break?) and I had to rewrite BOTH my essays twice. Reading was bollocks, too. So I just hope I get a merit at the very least. Bla bla bla. Went to Swensen's for ice cream in the evening with Appa and Maria and I had Sticky Chewy Chocolate which is sinfully delicious btw. My dad then said, "Eh, you lost weight already don't put it back on lahh."

-_-

I was also watching Entourage with Elena in the living room downstairs, and then I suddenly saw boobies in the Pyjama Party @ Playboy Mansion episode and I just went,"OKAAAAAY" and left for dinner.

By the way, momo surprised me with a call today. From the navy ship. :) He is coming home on Sunday evening so babi lah. Not to mention that cellphones ARE allowed in the camp, but he just didn't bring his. -_- He's in Langkawi now and he'll be in Lumut tomorrow! My military man, hehe. :) I rindu lahhhhh. :(

But anyway, I'll be buying school books tomorrow. And hopefully clean my <s>room</s> desk so you can see another Oprah before&after transformation. I still have pictures from Najwa's party but the computers I've been using are sooooo slow so I'll have to wait until my Mini comes back but it's taking forever cos the guy still hasn't called me back.

OOH by the way Elena finally got her hands on Light Grenades so I'm listening to Incubus' new album and my current favourite is Oil and Water. I hope they come down again next year.. They'll be on their World Tour but they haven't announced whether or not they'd come back, so keep your hands crossed people.

Oklah I think I'm going to hit the snooze button now. (OMGIT'SNOTEVENTWELVE!)

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

SummerMarissa (oops, I mean Anonymous) on my chatterbox seems to think I copy Kimberly's style. Blog style? Fashion style? I don't know what gave her that idea, rofl, but I don't really care cos Kim's my friend and I know she doesn't think that, and that's all that really matters. So unless SummerMarissa would like to explain further....

But anyway, I'm having the last CPE papers tomorrow. Eeeeeeeeeeeeep. Today, I had Physics tuition to revise Form 4. God damn I'm so rusty. :P Tomorrow night pulak I'm having Add Math, aghhhh.

Did I mention tomyam's away on some navy ship? He went for the RMC Camp this morning doing military shit. I won't be able to talk to him for another five days. I rindu him already. :(

My Greys, OC and Heroes are also being put on hold until New Years and I've added a new series to my faves - Ugly Betty! Haha. It's the english version of the telenovela aired in NTV7 a few years back called Yo Soy Betty La Fea. I personally prefer the original, but this one's pretty funny too. :) But no worries, cos it gives me time to catch up on Prison Break.

Tata.

Monday, December 11, 2006

*Dialogue in this post may have been altered due to memory loss but the content is still the same, ok :d

As I was queueing up at the ATM machine in OU today, a guy taps my shoulder and says to me, "Hey, did you go to the Rugby event four years ago?" And then I was like, ".... Yeaaaa." And then he says, "I know this may sound weird, but did a guy take a photo of you?" And then I nod in my head, and before you know it, he introduces himself as the photographer and I just go OMGWTF. It's one thing if a complete stranger comes up to you and asks, "Hey are you that...." but it's another if it actually is you.

I still remember that day actually. It was the first day I got my contact lenses, back in Form 1. I had lunch with my family at Rasa Penang in OU. And my daddy, Fara and I went to the Rugby Sevens later that day. On our way out after the All Blacks match, a guy stopped me and asked if he could take my photo, and me, being the naive twelve year old I was, let him and it never struck my mind on actually why he did, so I seized the opportunity today and did.

He was taking photos for his school magazine, I think, and he said that the teacher said that he (photo guy) has 5 shots allocated for himself and he didn't know what to take photos of.. so he asked me. He said that his friends kept asking him why he took a picture of me of all people, and I was pretty touched. What more that he remembers me after all these years, haha. Sure you may think it's kinda creepy, but he was actually a really nice guy, so it didn't make the situation really uncomfortable. He's currently in Sunway College, so we actually managed to exchange a number of things while I was queueing up actually. Funny how people just come in and out of your life, even for the slightest bit.

But anyway, happy 15th birthday Tiffany! Sorry I left Souled Out early.

Sunday, December 10, 2006

Excuse the spammer on the right, eheheh. Cough cough. (Psst psst )

Let's start of by wishing A HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEEEEEEEEN to one-half of my lifelong best friend NAJWA AMIRA.

WoooHOOOOOOO!

Her birthday party last night and I shall blog about it (WITH PICTURES!) tonight. Or maybe tomorrow. Hee. But now I'm gonna talk about what I did that morning, that really opened up my eyes..

I paid a visit to the Taman Megah Handicapped & Disabled Children's Home with a bunch of other people as volunteers. The minute you set foot in the home, all the kids come up to you to shake your hand and introduce themselves. I put on my biggest smile and introduced myself, but honestly, it was really heartbreaking to see them. It was a bit overwhelming at first, seeing all these kids. Roshan's aunty (who organised this) told us that all these children wanted was affection, attention and love. And she also told us to be emotionally strong..

I admit, it was difficult at first. Going up to these kids.. but after a while you get used to it, and it feels normal actually.

But before we started playing with them, she showed us this 2 year old baby in a cot inside the home, who suffers from hydrocephalus, which means he has excess fluid in surrounding his brain which exerts a lot of pressure. As a result, his skull is abnormally large and he is really frail. It was really depressing, you know. You suddenly appreciate how healthy and fortunate you are.

But anyway, all we did was interact with the kids, played games and made drawings with them. Some of them are friendly, some of them are scared, and I don't really blame them actually. But its pitiful when you see a small kid fall down and cry, and no one tends to her because there aren't enough helpers. I don't know if I'm going to visit regularly, but it was definitely an eye opening experience.

.. On a happier note, HEROES will be showing on Star World in January! WOOHOO!

By the way, I watched Cicakman today. I say no more.

Thursday, December 07, 2006

I've only watched 5 episodes of OC Season 4 and already I have a good feeling. Taylor and Ryan is actually starting to make sense now, eheheh. OC trumps One Tree Hill, hands down. Sure, Season 3 was crap, but I think the death of Marissa was a blessing.

Yayayay!

Wednesday, December 06, 2006

I've been so lazy to blog it's unbelievable. I suppose its cos nothing interesting has been happening. Tralalala. What have I been doing over the week? Went to the zoo to rake leaves(no shit!) and went to Harith Iskandar's stand up comedy at BSC. Funny shit.

Elena also introduced me to this new TV series called Heroes on the laptop. It's a worthy mention and I HIGHLY recommend it. Only 11 episodes have been aired in the States and it's something like X-Men only it's five hundred times cooler because it actually makes sense and everything seems real - you feel as if it is happening across the globe. I personally think the ensemble cast is awesome to boot - I forgot some of their names, so I'll be naming their characters from other TV shows: the lawyer who tried to sleep with Gabriella in Desperate Housewives, Ali Larter, Milo Ventimiglia(sp?), the black guy from "Angel", Hayden Panetteire, Indian intern in ep101 of Grey's Anatomy, small boy from one episode in Grey's Anatomy who has 2 fathers (gay) and got hit by a baseball - ooh he's also Katie's boyfriend in the new season of My Wife & Kids!

Okay it doesn't seem so impressive now but just give it a try. :)

"Save the cheerleader, save the world."

My new staple drink is Starbucks' Green Tea Frappucino even tho a measly Tall cup costs RM14.50 (that's inclusive of Govt.tax) which I think is BLOODY ridiculous and so not worth it, but god damn it tastes so good. :)

And Fergalicious is such an eargasm, lalalala.

The guy from Mac called cos I sent my Mini to the service centre and he said I'll have to replace my 80GB hard drive which is gonna cost me RM690. :( Plus service charge- RM120. Plus backup cost- RM190. That is a total of RM1000 just to fix my baby. If I multiply the sum by 2, I might as well buy a new one. This is heartbreaking okay. :( :(

But anyway, last Friday was my four months with my booboo. That's 1st of December. Ehehehe. :) Love youuuu sayang. ;)
